A new agri sales manager has been appointed at Continental. Tom Godwin brings five years of tyre experience to the role and with a background in farming to support him, he will he working with dealers and manufacturers throughout the UK and Ireland.
General sales manager for commercial speciality tyres, Rebecca Shedden, said: “Tom has a wealth of experience with agricultural tyres that will help Continental, our dealers, and customers. He is joining a dedicated team that has launched seven new lines of tractor, combine and telehandler tyres in the last five years. We are all excited to have him on board.”
Recognising the challenges and opportunities within the role, Mr Godwin said: “I am excited to be working with Rebecca and the Continental team. I will be strengthening Continental’s dealer relations, working with OEMs and visiting customers to make Continental the go-to brand for agriculture. I also want to offer more training on how tyres can bring benefits to all operators.”
Mr Godwin has previously worked with OEMs, tractor dealers and end users and his wide ranging knowledge and experience makes him an ideal fit. He continued: “Experiencing different farming systems has helped me to better understand the importance of having the right machinery. Tyres are a fundamental part of machinery efficiency and I am looking forward to working with Continental to further develop the brand in agriculture.”
