Crop production company, ProCam, have announced the appointment of three new team members: Eilish Johnston and Stephen Acott join the Scottish regional team as trainee agronomists, and James Bromwich joins as the company’s new trials assistant.
Mr Acott’s appointment comes following a 12 year period at Agrii, running the Turriff-based seed analysis laboratory and working as a cereal crop inspector throughout Scotland. He has now joined ProCam Robertson Crop Services team as a trainee agronomist and will be providing practical agronomic advice to growers across Aberdeenshire.
Also appointed as a trainee agronomist, Ms Johnston previously gained a degree in agriculture from Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC) where she gained practical experience through various roles in the sheep and dairy sectors. She is joining ProCam from Agrii, where she acquired a BASIS foundation qualification. She is now training for her BASIS IPM exams and FACTS qualification so that she can provide specialist crop nutrition.
Mr Bromwich is joining the company to work alongside Trials Officer, Rebecca Tunnicliffe, and will assist in coordinating the company’s in-house research and knowledge exchange. He gained a business management degree at De Montfort University before joining the MDS graduate scheme, completing placements within food and fresh produce companies.
