Czech manufacturer SMS has announced a series of new models within its cultivation portfolio.
The new Titan Simple 630 is based on the company’s Titan model but has been simplified and lightened. The Cambridge roller has a working width of 6.3m and has been fitted with hydraulic folding.
Each roller is divided into three working sections which are independently mounted to follow ground undulations. A choice of 510mm or 530mm discs is available, each fixed with the TitanLock system, which the company states keeps the discs firmly pressed together to stop unnecessary wear.
Options include a hydraulic levelling board and the minimum power requirement is just 87hp.
New Severit compactor
The Severit range has been extended with the 12m Severit G 1200, a semi-mounted unit with four working frames, independently mounted so that each tool follows the ground.
According to the company, a key advantage is the high working speed of 15kph. Working through the machine, the compactor combines skidders, rollers and tines for precise seedbed preparation.
A wide choice of accessories is available, including slatted, crosskill and double crosskill rollers, arrow or tine shares and hydraulic depth adjustment.
Each working element is spaced out to enable high levels of trash to move through the machinery without blocking.
Talon subsoiler
New 4m and 5m variants of the Talon Medium subsoiler have also been announced. The 400/9H and 500/13H offer nine or 13 tines respectively, with a choice of shearbolt or hydraulic protection.
Capable of working down to 45cm, the depth is hydraulically controlled and the machines can be fitted with side screens to stop ridging, support wheels and a wide range of tines to suit different working conditions.
