Following the withdrawal of difenacoum, BASF Pest Control Solutions has added a new product to its rodenticide portfolio, with the launch of Neosorexa® Plus Blocks.
Containing the active ingredient flocoumafen, the new and improved formula is much more potent than the former version of Neosorexa which was withdrawn due to increased resistance to difenacoum.
BASF claims, Neosorexa Plus combines the palatability of a soft block with the durability of a hard block, its unique formulation can withstand extreme temperatures and features an innovative binder that allows for a higher proportion of palatable ingredients, making it more readily consumed than a typical wax block bait.
Available in 5kg tubs, Neosorexa Plus Blocks can allow farmers to regain control in as few as 14 days, outperforming other anticoagulants on the market by ten days.
Importantly, it is effective even on rodents that are resistant to other anticoagulants containing actives like difenacoum and bromadiolone.
Laurence Barnard, country business manager for BASF’s Professional & Specialty Solutions, commented: “We continue to introduce innovative solutions designed to help make pest control easier, more efficient and more effective.
“The Neosorexa brand has been a much-loved and trusted product for decades, and following the withdrawal of the original range in 2023, we are delighted to introduce Neosorexa Plus Blocks to the market to provide farmers with another product in their toolbox.” He added; “this is the start of a series of products we will launch under the Neosorex® Plus brand over the coming years.”
