Control from pre-ems in autumn 2016 was generally good with late drilling and cool weather allowing the residual herbicides to take effect well into the new year. There were regional differences though, some areas of land in the south and east were quite dry so didn’t achieve the levels of control seen on other farms. In the west and north moisture levels were consistent so this was not a limiting factor for pre-emergence performance. Ben Giles of Bayer explains in more detail.
