Emergency authorisation for Spotlight Plus on linseed crops

Premium Crops has announced that Spotlight Plus (carfentrazone-ethyl) has received Emergency Authorisation for linseed seed crops.

“Post Reglone (Diquat) the absence of any fully approved desiccant products has meant that UK linseed seed growers have absolutely no viable options for drying their seed crops prior to harvest. This Emergency Authorisation for Spotlight Plus does mean that those growers will now have something to treat the crop and knock down some of the late emerging weeds,” says Premium Crops agronomist, Hannah Foxall.

“This is the fourth year that the FMC Agro product, Spotlight Plus, containing the active carfentrazone-ethyl, has been granted an Emergency Authorisation”, says Premium Crops seeds manager, Nigel Padbury, “I cannot stress enough how important it is that anyone considering the use of Spotlight Plus this year should adhere to the stewardship scheme associated with this approval”.
