To reflect the continued expansion at the company, FMC have appointed Hazel Blanshard to the role of product manager for crop protection.
Following the completion of her master’s degree in agriculture from Lancaster University, Hazel started her career in the arable sector as a soil science researcher at NIAB before working as an agronomist in the South East.
“In my previous roles, I’ve been mostly based out in the field, so this position is an exciting step in a new direction for me,” she says.
“I’ve used many FMC products in the past, so now as product manager I can bring my background knowledge and first-hand experience of the products to the fore when working on strategy and marketing,” she says.
Hazel’s previous career experience has also given her a vast amount of agronomic knowledge and technical insight on crop protection, which means she understands the solutions the arable sector needs.
“FMC has an extensive product pipeline and is continually growing, so I’m really looking forward to joining the team at such an exciting time for the company,” she adds.
“We are delighted to have Hazel on the FMC team,” says John Hutton, marketing and plant health lead UK and Ireland at FMC.
“Her agronomic knowledge and practical experience will be incredibly valuable in driving FMC’s product portfolio forwards at this exciting time,” he concludes.
