Professor Martin has had a long and active role in ASPB, sitting on the editorial board for the prestigious ASPB journal ‘The Plant Cell’ from 2000-2014, and becoming the first female and first non-American to hold the post of editor-in-chief of The Plant Cell from 2008-2014. She has continued her editorial activities as an Associate Editor for Plant Physiology since 2015.
