In a glittering ceremony at London’s Bankside Hilton on Thursday night Sally Cox of Farmacy was crowned Young Agronomist of the Year. The National Arable & Grassland Awards were run by Agronomist & Arable Farmer and Farm Contractor and Large Scale Farmer magazines to showcase the best in British agriculture.
Thus far in her career as an agronomist Sally has worked in Australia and then as an assistant agronomist for Bayer before joining her current employer Farmacy as an arable agronomist. Having worked through the Foundation Programme, she won the prestigious Barrie Orme shield in 2016. She currently works as a specialist in Omnia Precision Farming. Her current customer base of 30 farmers covers 6,400 hectares in the East Midlands.
