The Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) has issued an early confirmation that it will be exhibiting at next year’s Cereals event, when it takes place at Boothby Graffoe, Lincolnshire, on June 12 and 13, 2019.
“Visitors to our stand this year supported our bold move to exhibit without our Recommended List (RL) plots,” said Martin Grantley-Smith, AHDB Cereals & Oilseeds Strategy Director. “Now, with a growing demand for more regional focused RL information, we will adopt a similar approach to Cereals 2019 alongside a regional event programme.
“Our industry will experience significant change over the coming years and our focus needs to remain on the technical challenges facing us all, as well as the inevitable exposure to fluctuating prices, currency swings and even adverse weather conditions. Building resilience to risk and providing the tools and services to manage these risks will remain high on our agenda.”
AHDB will announce further details of its planned Cereals attendance once its summer 2019 event programme is finalised later this year. In addition, regional arable connections events are planned for eight locations across the UK and will focus on AHDB RL plot trial sites allowing growers to explore variety and market options for their own region.
