An innovative national performance award has been introduced by leading UK oilseed rape breeder, Dekalb this spring to recognise and reward the growers who are most successfully minimising per tonne winter OSR production costs for the greatest financial resilience.
Entry to the award is simplicity itself. All growers have to do is submit a few details of their best performing 2014/15 crop or field of any Dekalb hybrid of at least 20 ha – double low, low biomass, HOLL or Clearfield – at https://www.dekalb.co.uk/the-national-growers-award. by May 1. Following shortlisting and judging, the awards will be presented at a special event at Cereals 2016.
All shortlisted entries will be provided with free tickets to Cereals 2016, with the winner taking away a state-of-the-art Trimble Nomad 1050 Hand held GPS system and runners-up valuable Dekalb clothing.
