John Deere expands 6M tractor range

John Deere has extended its 6M tractor portfolio with 17 models across five different chassis sizes and with four- or six-cylinder engines. Every model, from the compact 6M 95 to the flagship 6M 250 comes with Intelligent Power Management (IPM) to provide up to 20hp in boost.

A range of transmissions are available to specify in the machines, from the mechanical PowrQuad Plus to the stepless AutoPowr and six-cylinder models are also fitted with larger hydraulic pumps as standard, offering a base output of 155 litres/min, which can be upgraded to a 195-litre system as required.

The rear hitch capacity changes throughout the range, starting at 5.7t and topping out at 9.9t.

Looking at the range by chassis size, the four short-frame models run from 77hp up to 101hp, with IPM pushing the maximum power up to 110hp on the 6M 125. Small frame machines increase the wheelbase from 2,400mm to 2,580mm, with three machines offering 105hp, 113hp and 121hp before IPM.

Mid-frame machines start with the 6M 145, which has now been upgraded to a six-cylinder power unit. These four models have a 2,765mm wheelbase, with rated powers from 117hp up to 150hp. The top-end large frame (2,800mm) and Xtra large frame (2,900mm) machines take the 6M range above the 200hp mark, with the 6M 250 topping out at 20hp with IPM.

In the cabin, customisable controls are available on both the right-hand console and the compact CommandARM, and a new corner post has been mounted on the A-pillar. Panoramic roof windows are available for greater visibility during loader work, and comfort is ensured by TLS front axle suspension and mechanical cab suspension.

For precision farming operations, the high-resolution 10.1” G5 or the 12.8” G5Plus Universal Display can be fitted allowing operators to seamlessly connect their ISOBUS implement and utilise features like AutoTracTM, Section Control, and Variable Rate Application.

Data Sync enables wireless sharing of field data and guidance lines between machines, streamlining operations and maximizing efficiency.
