McConnel has added to its Agribuggy range with the new V300 self-propelled sprayer. It has been redesigned from the ground up, with a new cabin, a 50kph continuously variable transmission, Cummins engine and a 3,000-litre spray tank capacity.
It has an unladen weight of 6,400kg, mounted on OMSI drive axles with locking differentials for improved tractor and handling. Despite the compact dimensions, it can offer a ground clearance of 750mm when shod with row-crop tyres.
The new Comfort Cab is said to offer 360-degree visibility, with an ergonomic control layout. It also features ten LEED work lights, electrically adjustable mirrors, an air-suspended seat and a floating armrest console.
The Cummins 3.8-litre engine provides 148hp and 600Nm of torque, available at low engine rpms. It also features intelligent engine braking for more precise control and performance.
With a capacity of 3,000 litres, the spray tank is baffled for extra strength and to prevent liquid surges. A new electronic sight gauge has been fitted, with an LED display for the tank contents. It’s completed with 12/24m aluminium Pommier booms.
McConnel sprayer sales specialist, Alex Fastnedge, commented, “The McConnel Agribuggy holds a distinctive niche in the market due to its low ground pressure and mechanical drivelines. The new model stays true to these principles while introducing a host of enhancements, including variable transmission and greater comfort.”
