The Met Office has just issued another weather warning for tomorrow, Wednesday 21st February.
The Met Office predicts that 15- 25 mm of rain is likely across many areas but across higher ground, this could increase to 50 – 70 mm. With a shift south in the jet stream it is bringing more low pressure systems our way. Towards the end of the week, Met Office meteorologists expect it could dip further south, funneling more low pressure systems into the UK.
With the ground already saturated across many areas and swollen rivers more flooding and disruption is possible.
In some regions, February could turn out to be the wettest on record with some areas likely to receive 200% of the long-term average suggested a Environment Agency spokesperson.
