Väderstad has strengthened its Board of Directors with the appointment of Danish-British agricultural specialist Poul Hovesen.
Hovesen has been active in UK agriculture since 1987, where he currently manages the three major farming companies Salle Farms Company, Holkham Farming Company and Raynham Farm Co Ltd. He has also held various advisory roles and memberships, including within Morley Research and Agri-Tech East Stakeholder Group. In 2014, he received the Farmer of the Year Award and last year he was elected to the Royal Agricultural Society for his work within the industry.
Crister Stark, Chairman of the Board and co-owner said: “We are delighted at Poul’s appointment to our Board. Our collaboration began in the early 1990s when Poul was involved in Väderstad’s work on precision cultivation techniques. With his international industry experience, I am convinced that he will bring very valuable expertise to our continued global expansion.”
Hovesen added: “Together we have both a practical and theoretical basis for creating new agricultural practices and technologies for the future. My ambition is to help ensure that we remain at the forefront of machine and method development for agriculture.”
Väderstad’s new Board consists of: Chairman of the Board Crister Stark, Siw Stark, Christina Stark, Andreas Stark, Bo Stark, Linnéa Stark, Charlotte Stark, Victoria Sirén, trade union representatives Peter Bladh and Magnus Pantzar, and external Board members Ann Krumlinde and Poul Hovesen.
